Dog for Adoption: Zilla
Update: Zilla found a home!
Zilla arrived at ARK along with her four brothers and sisters, all born because someone refused to have their pet neutered, yet, oddly, had no qualms about dumping the puppies. Only one dog has found a home. Two others are at the shelter in Kansai, while Zilla and her sister Zass are being cared for by the Tokyo branch. Zilla, a mixed breed, is likely to grow to be a medium-size dog of about 12-13 kg. Now 6 months old, she craves attention and will sit within reach of being patted, then slowly inch closer for cuddles. Even though still very young, Zilla is not at all zany, but quiet and calm and a bit shy around people and fearful of cars until she grows accustomed to them. Having grown up at ARK with lots of other cats and dogs she does love to run and wrestle with other animals, both cats and dogs. Zilla will even tone down the rough-housing when playing with kittens so as not to harm her little friends. We’re hoping for someone experienced with dogs for Zilla, someone with a nice area for taking walks together, an environment in which this little girl can thrive.
