Dog for Adoption: Holly

Holly’s story is a sad one for the Christmas season, but one inextricably linked to it. This brindle-color dog, some nine years ago, was abandoned at ARK on Christmas Day, thus her name. No festivities marked the occasion, no joy followed, just long days of waiting. Nine years she has spent at the shelter, in its “K3 area”, a part with the least access to visitors. She waits to find a home. A shy, yet calm, quiet dog of 10, Holly doesn’t pull on the lead and walks at an easy pace. She is allergic to cats so would be best in a home on her own. She takes some medication for her skin allergies but may well no longer need them if she were to have her own home away from the stress of the shelter. It’s a slim chance no doubt, but there is still hope some kind person will make this little dog’s Christmas a happy one this year, at long last. After all, we all know, Christmas is a time for miracles.
