Dog for Adoption: Tom
Ed’s note: Tom has found a new home!
Sadly, it’s full circle for Tom, who left ARK nine years ago as a young pup. Nine years he spent with his beloved owner until that woman’s death left Tom with no place to go. Back at ARK, he is a bit unsettled and confused but his love for all people (no cats please) can surely help pull Tom through. Tom was not faring well at the shelter so he is actually currently in Tokyo at a foster home. He is good-natured, well-behaved on walks, friendly with other dogs and in good health. Tom does have his moments of naughtiness, most likely brought on by simple grief at the loss of his beloved owner and bewilderment and anxiety at the many strange, new environments. He would likely be best suited to someone who has time to spend with him during the day, someone with a quiet dog or no dog. It is our hope that, with lots of praise and lots of loving, Tom can weather these unsettling days and find sanctuary in the home of a new and loving friend.

It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Prospective new owners undergo a screening process.
The Japan Times supports stray and abandoned animals by publishing this photo box every Saturday in the Weekend/People section of the paper. The information is then archived here on the Angels with Fur site one week later, on the following Saturday.
